The first was hosted by my soon-to-be sister-in-law Elizabeth, with assistance from her mom and two younger sisters. It was a rainy day, but the room was bright, the big bowl of Cheetos was just what the doctor ordered, and Eric and I got some great things to help make our aparment feel more like a home.
Unfortunately, I have no pictures from that weekend. Liz has them all on her camera!
This past weekend I went back to my hometown of La Grande, where my Mom and sister Zoey threw me a shower at the home of my Grandma. Many women who've influenced my life for good showed up and showed their support with great tools for the home and kitchen. It was a lovely fall day, too.
Then Monday night, my co-workers or fellow Chamber maids put together a dinner party for me - complete with two types of lasagna, ice cream cake and gifts. It was so sweet and the food was so good!
When I got home Monday night Eric was at my aparment and we looked around the living room and just laughed. It was full of gifts! We went right to work making room in the kitchen for all the amazing and useful things we've been given. Our kitchen is pretty much stocked! I really feel so special and so spoiled and am very grateful for the generosity from all of our family and friends!
(there are more pictures to behold, but there are downloading complications, so stay tuned)

Showers with family and friends are precious and sweet. Your young soon-to-be sisters-in-law will probably be on the receiving end from you one day. It's like a big circle that keeps going around.
Enjoy! :)
What a lovely event your Chamber maids threw you!
