His inaugural speech left me wanting.... Besides the empty rhetoric, I thought his delivery was off. Kind of an anti-climatic moment after years of hyped campaigning. You should read the text...he says some very interesting things. But, one thing I did appreciate in the whole speech was this:
"We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you."
I'm watching and waiting Mr. O, watching and waiting....

It is interesting that you quoted those lines from his speech. Those were the lines that I too also pondered. Our Pastor gave a good sermon on Sunday about submitting to our goverment and how it is in the scripture. What he said was true. He said God is not american, not a republican or democrat. I never really thought about it that context. He also went on to say that we shouldn't want him to fail because we are the ones that are going to feel that failure. I am having a hard time giving "Mr. O" a chance too. It is what it is and all we can do is wait and see. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and got to enjoy a fun time at the Olive Garden. Love you.
