Viewpoint: War isn't faceless

I've been the editor for the Opinion page for almost two months now, and this is only my second column I've written; the first one I wrote was during my first week on the job. I'm not complaining! Having so many people willing and eager to write viewpoints definitely takes stress away from putting together the page.

I hope you'll take the time to read this viewpoint. If you are having trouble reading it, you can go to the website and read it.

I read your column and am impressed. I agree that while most would say they support our military, it seems that the sacrifices being made are by too few and that the rest of us are able to live our lives as we always have. It's such a trite saying but truly, freedom is not free.

Nice! You are such a good writer, putting into words the thoughts many of us have but can't adequately express. Your mom must be very proud! :)
